Hey @Tusky , guys, your "App Theme" options in settings feels very limited: I wish I could change the colors, have ability to make my own theme.... would love to have that fixed.

Custom theming is quite difficult, it's hard to make good design that would look with any colors.

That said, maybe there's still room for customization? Like custom accent color? In the future we will hopefully support Material Me theming

I want to control who follows me, not keep my friends from boosting my posts.

@Tusky there is a problem with omitting the domain part of usernames: copying and pasting a toot ends up mentioning different people. Why are domains ever omitted ? If there is a good reason (which I don't see) could it be at least possible to include them when copying the toot to clipboard ?

@strk hi, it probably depends on how you copy them. Mastodon likes to hide the domain part of accounts that are on the same server as the post(er). We could check if we can expand the usernames when copying the post!

@xsecur Yes, you can mark your lists as "exclusive" either in Tusky 24+ (Lists / Update the list / Hide from home timeline) or the web interface

has been having an issue lately where I click to boost one post and it boosts an entirely different one. I sometimes find posts I didn't intend to boost, like just now, it did it again. Best sign that it just did it is it seemingly not having registered a boost on the toot I just clicked.

Edit: His account HAS been suspended. However, in the Tusky app and in the Megalodon app, his account is visible, as are his posts, and I can still reply to him.

Hi, Tusky (and I guess Megalodon as well) just uses the information provided by your instance - if your instance's local "view" of the account still exists, there's no way for the client app to know that it has been suspended on its home server.

There is something called Trending Posts in my #Tusky #Mastodon app.

I'm wondering what the algorithm that determines what posts are trending is?

Is based on boosts, on favorites, on followercount? On something else?

Is it instance spefic or fediverse wide?

What's in there now seems rather random to me!

For mastodon*, it looks like this is a factor of favorites, boosts, and recency.

Upcoming releases of F-Droid will change how repositories are added. We are interested in feedback about this overhaul.

Please tell us (if you already have the latest F-Droid or F-Droid Basic 1.19.0-alpha installed):

  • Does adding repos still work for you?
  • And did adding repos became easier or harder?

If you don't have 1.19.0 yet: Note that this is still in beta, so brave users need to install this manually (enable Beta updates for the app or from Client expert settings).
