If you'd like to do something for me for my birthday, would you please reply to this with—or by other means send me— something with colors you liked? Like an image or a video or a link. Music would also be acceptable if it gives you a strong synesthesiac association with color.
If this request confuses you, here are some examples of images with colors I found striking [Artists: Laurie Barmore, Vian Borchert, Erica Aurahack]. But your reply can be whatever colors you like.
I had my car booted and had to pay $541 to get it released last night.
I only had two shifts of scheduled work this month and made $500 so I am now at -$41 :weeee:
the dude who invented the leaf blower was like "what if every house on every block spent at least an hour every week, during the day, running a machine that forced everyone nearby to close all doors and windows"
I wanted to post a Techdirt article the other day, but I had nothing to add, so I went to see if they had a Mastodon account I could just boost. I found an account on this mastofeeder service that appeared to convert their RSS feed directly into ActivityPub. Neat! Except, it doesn't seem to work: https://mastofeeder.com/techdirt.com / @techdirt.com@mastofeeder.com . I don't see any posts there at all, viewing it from mastodon.com.
I wonder what would need to happen for this to work.
@mcc quoto has this and everyone blocked them for it. hometown doesn't have this but Darius wrote a little express app that lets users deploy rss bots and you'll often find them running alongside hometown instances
I think LinkedIn is not a very good name for a product because it took me many years after Linkedln first appeared before I was entirely certain whether the letter after the d is an uppercase i or a lowercase L
@mcc well, okay, they also make open holsters from the same material, and they are popular in the competitive shooting leagues. which are understandably fashionable/flashy.
My most boring opinion is that the optimal temperature scale would be for 0° to be what it is in Celsius (freezing point of water) and for 100° to be what it is in Fahrenheit (~human body temperature). If we followed this convention then the range 0-100 would be precisely the range of temperatures in which a human can move around more or less comfortably/safely. I hope this thought helps you at 11:13 PM on a friday
