Remains of a 6th/7th century basilica in Gortyn on the island of . Excavators dubbed it the "church of St. Titus" assuming by its size that it was dedicated to the island's patron saint, but the actual dedication is not known.

So how did the relationship between ancient philosophy and Early Christianity become my research specialization? Why, I took a required seminar on Hellenistic philosophy in grad school that I hated and struggled with. How else?

I don't get why reviewers feel the need to point out spelling errors in a book review. When it's something that doesn't affect the main premises of the book, it seems petty and makes me wonder whether said reviewer has anything really substantive to say.
