Now I have the recipe down, I need to slowly migrate the bunch of mission critical Pis over to this then the weak link is the NAS rather than the SD cards.

OK, so my smart gas meter appears to have disconnected it's self from the PAN (and did so middle of last year).

All attempts to contact British Gas to get them to even talk about this are proving fruitless, you get forced to talk to a bot on the web page, which just cuts you off saying their too busy if you get to the point of trying to talk to a human. And the phone system did the same....

The point of a smart meter is not to pay BS estimated bills.

Got a stable 9600 baud connection between 2 analogue modems via SIP.

Next up setup remote dial up login and a BBS followed by trying to get PPP to run.

Will keep poking at the SIP settings to try and get things to run a little quicker.

I think in theory it should be possible to get at least 14.4 working...

Anybody else have problems with Thunderbird (lightening) not pulling in new calendar entries from Google Calendar? If I add events (e.g. from my phone) they don't show up in Thunderbird unless I restart it.

Forced sync does nothing but shows no errors.

OK, this is a anti-pattern that NEEDS to DIE in FIRE 🔥

My bank has just inserted a splash screen when launching it's mobile app, this gleefully announces that I am now paperless, no way to decline, only to accept this change. And if I don't want paperless I have to go hunt in settings.

While I get there are some benefits (mainly for the bank), this should be a informed choice, not a forced action.

OK FTTP installed 300/50), but this house absorbs WiFi and I'm struggling to get the ethernet over power line adapters to sync at better than 20mbs . Not helped by the main router and demarcation point being upstairs.

Any suggestions for better downstairs coverage (next step is to try WiFi repeater, can't really cover this house in ceiling mount APs)

Anybody know of a reputable source for a Windows 95 (sp2) ISO (and license key) or a vm image that will load in kvm/qemu, if such things are possible (the reputable bit).

I've got my dial up internet setup working and want a realistic OS to run with it. I'd go with Windows 3.11 but I really can't be doing with feeding a VM floppy images to do the install...

UK Telephone/FTTP question.

My parents have FTTP from EE. It came with a wall wart POTs adaptor, I had assumed that this was WiFi, but I'm starting to think it's DECT.

I can't seem to find anything online to confirm this.
