#SCANDAL! I’m hearing deeply concerning reports that my posts are not appearing in many timelines. Apparently this #CENSORSHIP is “justified” because these people “aren’t following” me, “have never heard of [me]” or have “actively chosen to block” my account. #shocking#shameful#shouldisue
Need to crowdsource a bit of #Mastodonhelp if you don’t mind.
Was browsing the site and found an account that isn’t following me. Do I take this up with my instance admin, theirs, or just go directly to The Hague? TIA
Sunday morning question for us. Should non-beige.party social media be legalised?
Personally I think probably not, but the current 20-year hard labour minimum sentence is a tad harsh.
In both the ORIGINAL MOVIE and its SEQUEL, Elsa is the QUEEN of Arendelle
It is therefore SELF-EVIDENT that she has NO PLACE among the roster of Disney PRINCESSES
Yet SOMEHOW it is ME being asked POLITELY BUT FIRMLY to leave this production of DISNEY ON ICE
MASTODON ALERT: Due to a technical error, accounts not on beige.party have been able to make posts. We are aware of this issue and are working hard to rectify it. Thank you for your understanding.
Whenever Mastodon gets quiet, I immediately assume that the Rapture must have happened, but then I remember that, if the Rapture did happen, most of us would still be here.
@Alice Speak for yourself! Great Leader @theropologist has assured all us crystal-tier members that we will ascend direct to Beigetopia, the planet of unlimited beige bliss : :bb:
Offhand thoughts reading Michael Lewis's book on Bankman-Fried's downfall:
It's interesting the extent to which belief in Effective Altruism played a role in people doing bad things. I'm generally a believer that utilitarianism is ultimately what most ethics systems do, and perhaps what they should do. But, would a virtue ethics system have led to... greater overall happiness?
@ZachWeinersmith Perhaps it’s utilitarianism plus being repeatedly told you are very very smart (common in tech bro world) and concluding you are able to make moral decisions with greater wisdom than regular people.
A while back I had this comic script I didn't end up using where politicians create AI duplicates so they can communicate personally with every single constituent. I wonder how long before a campaign tries an LLM version of this?
