Learning some basic 3D modeling has been such a fun hobby. Needed something to hold tennis balls since mine came in a cardboard box, so I quickly put together something fun 😊 https://makerworld.com/en/models/445402
Does anyone else have a sassy HomePod and a well-behaved HomePod? One of them 75% of the time is like "Ummm, who is speaking??" and the other is like "Done, I gotchu Christian"
@christianselig This could totally be due to some privacy/security setting I have set on mine but if I ever try asking for it to set a reminder I’ll get, “Who is speaking?” followed by “I’m sorry, you’ll have to do that on your iPhone” ... 🤦♂️
Playing around with a Meta Quest 3 version of my Vision Pro stand, and I want a flourish on top to differentiate them, but I can't decide if I prefer the inset or raised sensors. What do you think?
Blender folks: I have a 180° frame from YouTube that I want to stretch inside a half-sphere to make it 180° immersive. The image is rectangular, so I'm struggling with the UV map since unwrapping a sphere cuts the corners off, and scaling it up loses the spherical effect. How would you reconcile that?
@joshuabeny1999 Options are either MagSafe and stuck with Lightning or Qi1 and stuck with slow speeds and no real smart communication with the device so Qi2 is a pretty awesome third option all things considered
Oooo, Bambu/Makerworld recently added "boosts" to 3D models, so if you like my Vision Pro Stand that I uploaded, sign in and give me a boost, I'm saving up gift cards and almost have enough for a new 3D printer add-on 😛
I think I've narrowed down my small backpack search to the Aer Go Pack 2, Aer Pro Pack Slim, and the Fjallraven Ulvo. Any opinions, particularly around how small they pack and how well they protect your laptop, gimme 😛
@christianselig
I have two Aer sling bags. Though I can't speak for the laptop protection on their larger bags, I highly recommend them in general for their excellent materials, design, and quality.
@christianselig I have the Aer City Pack Pro and the laptop protection is top notch in that bag. But it has a separate laptop compartment and I see that the Go Pack 2 does not. So the comparison likely isn’t relevant. This is my first Aer product and I got it to carry my Apple Vision Pro and my laptop and all accessories. It works great for that and seems to be very high quality.
@christianselig I gotta go with plat, but only because it’s the only Pokémon game I’ve ever played and, even though the series didn’t stick for me, it was such a special time to finally have a Pokémon game I could connect with. Pure nostalgia.
