    My grandmother passed away today. I feel so privileged to have known her, and for my children – her great-grandchildren! – to have known her too. 98 is a fantastic age, and I’ll always remember her love and kindness ❤️

    My mom’s car (2019 Honda Fit) doesn’t have whatever timer that prevents the car from draining the battery if you leave any light in the car on whatsoever. And when you drain the battery, it resets the emissions computer.

    Which means to pass your emissions test, you have to drive around in circles for several hours until all the sensors have done their tests, creating a bunch of unnecessary emissions.

    Today my only goal was to reply to emails, and I managed to get through 150 of them. Tomorrow the goal is the same, and if I manage the same number I’ll be very pleased. So… many… emails…

    @twostraws I know somewhere there’s a Gmail extension that lets you have “canned responses” if that’s what you’re using under the hood. Doesn’t respond automatically but it does save a lot of time

    @krzyzanowskim god this made me absolutely bananas in my last job search, especially because I didn't have much flexibility on how quick I needed to start.

    Protip: Write down stuff you told each interviewer so you don't wind up losing opportunities for being "too generic" when you actually just couldn't remember who you had already told what stories

    @caseynewton @zoeschiffer I would peg this more as 2013 than 2012, since it has more the minimalist look of iOS 7 rather than the iOS 6 Rich Corinthian Leather™ aesthetic.

    But yeah…I don't think they spent a red cent of that $20m on a designer. The whole thing reeks of Dev Art to me.
