I need to look into this more before freaking out.

I can certainly see upside potential for artists if Songtradr actually provides new, incremental revenue sources for bands by way of licensing (they are the biggest licensors of music rn).

But it's hard not to fear the worst based simply on A) current state of streaming business models, B) the immediate layoffs and the noted reasons why, not sure Songtradr is profitable, and finally C) the name of this company ffs 🤷‍♂️

@Defiance I assume the days of taking only 15% from artists (which is already too high! but better than elsewhere) are numbered. I expect little upside from licensing opportunities to balance that out.

Hopefully someone's already hard at work building the next artist-friendly platform!
