A person pedaling away from a station, leaving an almost empty row of docks.

A couple of meters away, a bigger station was empty of bikes, too. I tried to borrow the last one, but it wasn't functioning correctly.

I try to bike as much as I can. It's rare to be able to ride bicycles on sidewalks. 😀 Plus, I need to burn all those and boba calories. 😆

I could've comfortably taken a train (or a bus), but the public bikes are just as easy to find, and they simply let pedestrians and bikers share the sidewalk.

If one decides to venture on public roads, the drivers are polite and respect the priority of peds and bikers.

Honestly, our society needs to do more to reduce the perceived "glamour" of driving your own car. I understand that sometimes it's necessary, but in many cases, where adequate transit infrastructure is in place, it should be a luxury -- and should be taxed accordingly.

For the most part, many of the amenities here are welf-served . Most restaurants indulge us, foreign idiots, with extra service, while locals would've usually done it by themselves.

Guidelines are sparse, so I really feel sorry for the staff (and me) for abusing their hospitality, whenever I see the locals just do it for themselves.

I'm always amazed by cities where you can easily enjoy the #outdoors, and shower in #phytoncides, instead of pollutants.

Hike early up a mountain, enjoy some mountain crops, then go back to your (virtual) office before noon, for some work.

For brunch, I got to enjoy a filling bowl of local mushrooms for just 2 USD.

Oh, and yes, I always bring travel chopsticks with me. Helpful finger extensions, and keeps the keyboard clear of any snack/food residue. 😆

I tried it a few months ago, but didn't get past the first chapter. It was too graphic for my imaginative brain -- that's one reason i like reading over watching movies.

It's still in my reading list, but I don't know when I'll take it up.

Today, In a queue of ~120 people, there were only three of us wearing a face mask. I saw several folks with masks around their necks, but that wouldn't count would it?

Hundreds of people pass thru here every hour. The pessimist in me couldn't help but think that somebody sick is likely to be shedding viruses around. 😷

Gusô is the local name for the seaweed Eucheuma. I almost always end up getting some when I'm in this corner of the planet.

Apparently, it's been catalogued as an endangered heritage food in the .

Frankly, I never remember seeing it in Manila at all.

So I came back to a half dead garden and, to my delight, a new sunbird nest! Yes, the sunbirds have returned and are rebuilding the former nest. So it is a true, they do recycle nests!
My concern is that my aircond compressor is right above the nest and may scare away the birds. Does that mean I do without the aircond for a while 🤭😵🤪

PS: Turned the aircond on. Birb didn't seem fazed by it. Yipee

@jikodesu Maybe it will help your mother to ask why a second account is needed? What services or features are unavailable from their primary bank?

While my primary bank is not among those you mentioned, I could attest that my local Security Bank branch offers great customer service, though every branch is probably different.

Make sure it's the new app, tho it's been announced that they're rolling out another one soon.

The old one, which got replaced last year(?) was terrible ( but functional.)

Pero kung user-friendliness ang concern, I guess BPI has one of the better ones .
