I would like to use my old email-address with the new @tuta.com domain, what can i do?
Shouldn't there be a way to automatically do this on your side? I'm not negative but genuinely curious because i experienced other services doing similar things.
@mho Gut reflektiert.
Hm. Trying to not look at the very well intentioned mozilla.social job posting and not be like "this is a Sisyphean task that copies the fundamentally flawed patterns for moderating communities that have pervaded both centralized networks and the fediverse and which I have been trying to warn about for years and any diverse candidate that gets hired for it is going to be put on the spot and skewered for fundamentally impossible expectations out the door and I feel terrible about that, also why does Mozilla care about ActivityPub now when I couldn't get them to pay attention to it years ago, and I wish I could get them to pay attention to the work we're doing right now in Spritely which does aim to improve some of these problems, and actually it's probably my fault because I'm really bad at communicating and have a huge cassandra complex and that certainly isn't helping things"
I think the aim is well intentioned, I just... hm.
I don't know how to transform these feelings into something more constructive. I do feel like Mozilla has set themselves up for a doomed project by aiming for a mega-instance where people are nice somehow. It bypasses the things I've been warning about since the OcapPub writeup though. And that's a shame because there's real research and work that can be done, but it's not just getting the right person to do the same approaches that have caused so much divisiveness and drama.
Maybe there's a way to turn this into something more constructive though. I don't want to be negative. I want things to move forward. But I'm also very busy. I dunno.
Maybe there's a dialogue to open with someone but I dunno who.
