Well, both cats still love me, but $500 for the visit.
This is why we don't regularly visit the vet.
Anyway, they got the works, and are in good health. They don't go outside, but get Tick treated anyway.

I'm the one that attracts ticks, I'm protecting them from me. Anyway, Jasper was a real trooper

Good Monday morning friends. 🌧️
It’s 50’s F (10 C) and lightly raining. There’s a high prediction of accumulating rain throughout #today. We are still in mild drought conditions so this will help.
The other morning I saw an unusual sight. A Pileated woodpecker was hanging & feasting on our suet. It’s the first time I’ve observed one up close. I see them soaring overhead, but they don’t typically come to feeders.
No plans today other than a long workout & whatever comes my way.

Had this cute little guy show up last night to eat the fries that @Bianca threw out in the backyard just outside our back door.

He ate all the fries, and then afterwards grabbed the only porkchop bone that was left and toted it off to wherever he was staying in the woods I guess.

Kumquat, our 4 year old male cat, sat at the back sliding door and watched him the entire time.

My day started with a walk in the park. There was an elderly lady walking her little dog, and she decided to play with me. The lady was trying to go home, but the little one wanted to stay with me. Since we knew each other by sight, we agreed that the dog would stay with me all morning while she ran errands. In the late morning, she returned, and the dog happily went back home with her. I had the honor of spending a few hours of pure joy and carefreeness, rediscovering the pleasures of simple things.
Sometimes, in life, we should just take a few hours to stop and see the world through the eyes of a dog.

Siiri's running track - the snow has melted away from this side of our backyard. There's so much trash on the ground. It was left there by repairmen who repaired our windows. I hear my phone buzzing. The Mastodon awakens.

3 family members are awake, 2 have since settled down. I could have used more sleep, I stayed up to watch Colbert at 1am and it was a repeat.

Another 4 pear trees popped up from seed. I'm going to need to find space for these soon. And I don't want to have to provide special lighting.

I've got tree seeds everywhere, will be a month of growth before I remember what each one is.
