So I decided to try LocOS -KDE version on the 2014 mac Mini. It was reponsive but just like the heavier KDE neon at some point it ended locking up the GUI while I was doing updates. I could still exit with ALT+F2.

So I guess I need to try the XFCE build.

I've spent a good majority of the day moving 750GB of files out of my Google Drive over to my @protonprivacy drive.

I've quit using Google Chrome(long long time ago).
I've quit using Gmail.
I've quit using Google Drive.
I've quit using Google Keep.

The one thing that is just too damn good to quit using that Google makes is Google Photos.

While there are replacements, there's nothing that comes even remotely close to being as good as Google Photos in my opinion. Literally NOTHING!

Just for fun I abused our infra to put together a boot-able #COSMIC #Desktop live image. It features the latest cosmic-epoch-git release (2 days old). This image should boot into LightDM and from there you can login to live with a single click. The OS is #MocaccinoOS #Linux that is build with #Gentoo stable. If required, root password is "mocaccino". (I would not recommend installing this! Just peek around in the live environment) Have fun!

I remove a random file on the system. (perhaps you were running some weirdo script that messed up your system) however the file hierarchy got compromised. How do we restore from that? How do we get the files back we require to operate? Well #MocaccinoOS is not fully "immutable" as the popular term goes around. But what we have, because all is docker based, is a self repair command that instantly fixes this problem.

So after months of being a huge @Vivaldi fanboy, I'm finally moving away from it. I don't want to, but every update they push this happens. And sometimes I can fix it by deleting a cache file, this time I couldn't. It's just annoying to know that if you get an update, it breaks your browser.

I'm a bit frustrated right now...

I've tried to switch from GNOME to KDE on #Nobara39. But when I switched from GDM to SDDM, SDDM won't detect my Nordic keyboard layout. In other words, I can't log in to my PC whilst using SDDM 😑

The solutions I've found online have not helped me... Does anyone here have any idea what might be going on, and what the solution might be?

@BrodieOnLinux I tried to watch the soap and to be honest... I've been working in the Linux landscape for a very long time and I never heard about "techrights.org" are they a legal organ or something? Sorry if being ignorant but I really don't know.
