@nixCraft I started working with Oracle Linux because we represent a software product, which primarily runs on RHEL, required cost-free lab environments. Oracle Linux has proven to be an excellent choice.

@nixCraft It's sad to see so many people trying to justify the "toy" by blaming the people who asked the question for the wrong answer provided by the AI.
#Mastodon doesn't directly support quoting toot like the bird app. Support (Literally) Quoting Public Toots https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/issues/22793 is still open. I hope they release support for this. This is killer feature.
@nixCraft I never have understood why this wasn't considered a priority feature. It is very hard to talk about a post you are referencing when people can't actually see the post.
@nixCraft ICQ was the first program for which Microsoft opened the code for Mirabilis. It was a platform where they collected data together and where both companies made significant progress.
@nixCraft One thing I've always wondered is why group access isn't ok if the group is the user's own named group (eg if username is Person, the group name would be Person.) Which is going to almost always be the case with anything in the ~/.ssh directory anyway. I get the security implications of allowing anything else access, but why is the user's own named group not ok?

@nixCraft My 2 the middle button kept causing issues. Turns out the fix was simply to reseat it, only possible by opening. New 3 is as close to perfection as possible. Perfect weight, no mouse pad needed ever, comfy, happy hand.
