This is your sign to thoroughly wash your water bottles, not just the typical fill and swish and dump. There could be a thriving colony of e.coli, staph etc there.

Use dish soap, vinegar, baking soda (just be careful of mixing these 2), lots of salt and even a very mild bleach solution.

My yellow peacock have been getting a lot of visits from those pesky small leafcutter bees.

I had to resort to this: a makeshift screen over the pot so the bees wouldn't be able to get to the leaves.

After putting this, my other older pink peacock plant, their original target, got minimal damage after a week. I think the bees like this one more bec the damage they did in 3 days was far worse than a week's worth on my other plant.

The screen stays until I see yellow blooms.

Update:
I removed the screen because my peacock plant is getting cramped inside. Hopefully, the bees would stay cutting my other peacock plant.

2nd photo is before and after removing some weeds since I was not able to tend to it because of the screen.

I had a craving for iced coffee jelly but the nearest likely place to buy it was kilometers away. I had the option to make it from scratch, since I was going to the supermarket tomorrow, but thinking of making things from scratch in this heat was making me wilt. A friend suggested buying a can of Sunbest Coffee Jelly (540g), and to my delight it was only PHP119 (about USD2.12), so I ordered online. Also ordered condensed milk to go with it, since I can't digest whipped cream. Whee!

@pixiecata I saw that canned coffee jelly randomly on Lazada last year. I was surprised to realize that there is a need for such product. Heck, we have grass jelly in a can, why not coffee jelly. I'm waiting for buko pandan jelly in a can. 😁
