Although this profile is a realtime linear exploration of my lived experience, I have been called a "Porn Account." I have sex, and I won't hesitate to discuss and document it here. Graphically.

The name "Osric" is pronounced as "OZ-rik". The first syllable is stressed and sounds like "oz" as in "wizard of Oz," and the second syllable is pronounced quickly and softly, like "rik." (That's /ˈɑz.rɪk/ in IPA.)
The name comes from Old English, with notable rulers carrying the name by the 7th century. But my favorite fact to mention about the name is the appearance of an "Osric" in one of Shakespeare's most widely known plays: Hamlet!

Have something cursed, because I beer'd my laptop and it made the keyboard sticky. I'm too lazy to take it apart entirely just to fix the keyboard, so I'm just dousing it in distilled water :drgn_3c_evil:

This looks amazing, not being dependent on external parties at all whatsoever for your full home automation and AI needs, while still having MORE features than you could ever hope to have with current commercial implementations, is a perfect example of how selfhosting can be objectively better in every way, if you know how to set it up.

It's crazy to think having your own little Jarvis with everything the movie version can do, is actually here today right now, selfhosted

    Once I actually have a full armor harness, I'm going to get some custom dies made to look kind of like a medieval coin but with my own design. Then I'll hand-mint a small run of these in .999 silver and when I need someone to help me into my armor, I'll give them an ounce of silver for their trouble.

    I will gladly work with people of a variety of ideological leanings if they understand the vital and immediate need for antifascism and a broad application of justice across society.

    But I will reserve my right to be critical of bad takes and keep healthy boundaries on what I'm willing to do and who I'm willing to support. And I'm not going to get along well with someone who doesn't know the difference between laws and justice.

    What does that mean? Coordinating development? Managing community?

    I adore FireFish, and the promise I think it can fulfill to make the fediverse more intuitive and approachable to everyday users. I set up my own instance in October.
    I've tried to be one of the projects largest donors on librapay with monthly contributions.

    But I keep seeing disheartening posts about the flagship servers being down, and the admins not responding. About previous contributors forking and rebasing back misskey.

    I'm running 1.0.5rc for the security fix, but feel weird about running the beta branch in production.. but there hasn't been a prod release since July ​:blobcatgooglyholdingitsheadinitshands:​

    I reached out to Panos earlier today, but I don't think they can get messages on FireFish.Social anymore

    Do you get asked about this kind of thing?
    .. Am I being too impatient (especially about server uptime during the holidays?)

    Thank you for writing this up - it's impressive to see how many steps and refactoring events the instance has overcome!

    What's the best way that I can support ongoing Sharkey development? (The git donate link seems to be the same one as for supporting your instance..I guess that's because Sharkey was initially envisioned as a single instance branch?)

    I think I'll give migrating a go, maybe later this week. (We'll see if I have time - I'm covering for the rest of my team at work while they're out for the holidays, so it could make for some long days and after working on computers all day it's hard to have a computer hobby!)

    Do you know if there's an official Sharkey Announcements profile? (Maybe I would subscribe to the git updates? Or follow the devs for news?)

    you know you're on linux when you get so much updates that you just can't get to actually doing a major version release upgrade because the new updates keep rolling in too fast (all still optional of course)

    I think I'm just going to use the CLI method because Discover can't update without a reboot, and I get distracted for too long after the reboot so then there's new updates again haha

    I have found medication that works for me, and here's my interesting (and surprising) observation:

    It doesn't remove ADHD, it empowers it.

    This comic has been circulating for some time and it describes how I feel really well.

    The author is Toivo Kaartinen, and although they don't have any personal handle online that I can refer to, they are also the author of the web comic "Foxes In Love"

    For example, "You look great in that shirt" vs "That shirt looks great on you" and "You have such great ideas" vs "I love your idea"
