i don't want to leave my people, and it really isn't an option for me, but i get it. leaving the united states that is.

i don't know where i'd go otherwise though, is the thing. canada is an imperial power too. also it's too cold. but they do be having more rights than me and i'm a little jealous of that ngl.

tbf, people on the west coast generally have more legal rights than me as well.

i still love the south. but the laws here are atrocious and are mostly getting worse, not better.

Hi Everyone,

This year, I reached out to a domestic violence org for help rg. trauma after leaving an abusive relationship. I’ve begun attending group & individual therapy for survivors, which leaves me vulnerable and my abuser, who is also my coworker, crossed my boundary & contacted me.

I’ve taken some time off work to focus on therapy and my next steps. I ask for some financial support for bills, meds & food. I would greatly appreciate it

he has a secular, LDS, and CofC background. he's quite academic/secular with the lectures and Q&As (atheists attend too) so it will be from an academic perspective, but also from a person of religious faith.

he taught me that one can do both.

this class is mostly studying the words of the current prophet, Q12, and current church initiatives.

makes sense for temple school where you earn a ministry certificate that's only really recognized by the church.

this is the 3rd week we've studied the words of the current Prophet-President, Stephen M. Veazey.

he prefers to be called Steve. but "full first name, middle initial, last name" is just how it's done in formal settings here.

though, i haven't seen them do it for President Cramm that much. but i know her middle initial is D. so obviously, it's used enough for it to be common knowledge.

everyone i know who knew him really likes him!

he also was kinda revolutionary. he's the prophet who revcieved the revelation that women should be ordained to the priesthood.

he also was the prophet that first selected the first prophet not of the Smith bloodline.

i really like much of what i've heard in his interviews. like making it clear that it is impossible to bring forth revelation that does not have some part of the prophet in it. it's from God, but interpreted by man.

he oversaw a rocky and pivotal time in the RLDS church, not perfectly ofc, but with his best.

he reads as very honest to me and is an engaging speaker. i see evidence of him being a special witness of the Lord, and a true prophet.

not that President Veazey isn't. but there is something about Wally i find intriguing.

i disagree with some ways it is used as a method to control. and i think we've moved past not being able to acknowledge truths others may hold. but this is with a developed sense of discernment, and these in 1 Cor. are new christians.

we have a few that take no PAC money, for example, but a whole lot who do.

you are important. yemeni's and palestinians individually are just as important.

but americans, as residents in the imperial beast, must consider them impact their leader has on the world.

if genocide is something negotiable in an election, let it all fucking burn. it would suck, i'd likely die, but this can't go on. american "comfort" come at the expense of lives of those in the global south.
