So I was drinking tea and had an idea for a mug. I wanted to research how to get one made and such, and then I literally growled at myself 😂

So I added it to a list of things to look into after I’m done writing and then I did some planning using the preptober planner from heartbreathings.com

I think I’m ready to write a novel again, first time in years!

I will just reload my mailbox for confirmation of an appointment and maybe, I will go and play with my kittens, and, maybe, who knows, I will get so bored that I finally do the last bit of nano prep today :)

Did some work on my novel today, and have such a clear path to walk with it now. I need to finish up some prepwork, most importantly: one of my main characters needs to introduce himself to me.

Still have no idea who he is, so his letter will be fun to write!

Woke up just now, first excited about waking up at almost eight o’clock and then about the fact that on Wednesday, NaNoWriMo starts!

I SO look forward to the frenzy.

I have a (mostly) non-writing weekend planned, but that may change. I am in the car for four hours tomorrow, I might bring my writing notebook in case I have ideas.

I love how writing works. I haven't written one word, but my book is in my mind and I write down scene ideas and take other notes.

I'm starting to live my writing and I love it so much!

Oh and I'm also working behind the scenes on my writing blog, which now lives on a Ghost site. I love that I can post there directly from Ulysses, and as I plan to blog daily in November, that's a necessity!

Good morning mastofolk and happy Sunday.

I am very groggy but happy for a couple hours sleep.

It was such a stormy night, here. Nothing like the storms we’ve seen from the last few days, thankfully, but it howled around the house.

So I just curled up with a book, read for hours 😀

Oh and! I’ve reactivated my former mastodon ( @sylvia ) because I need a place to just babble about everything while keeping this place for writing and other activities 😀

Been silent again today. Think I had food poisoning yesterday and part of today. Feel a bit better now, but still headachy and ugh.

Did write a lot though, prep for my nano project, including a poem that just wanted to be added (my book is a combination of fiction and poetry. The latter is weird because it's truly written from the POV of my MC, and is very unlike mine)

Weird kitten habit that cracks me up every time:

Dipper has a specific type of toy ball that he likes and he could play with them for hours, bringing the ball to us and then waiting for us to throw it.

And when we don’t throw it fast enough, he lobs the ball in our direction! 😂😂😂

Just walked around the block for 10/15 minutes, in bright sunlight. Feel so energised and so proud! Given that I have a foot injury, it’s a big thing!

And, because I love to do things like this, I took some pictures of things I saw along the way.

So happy I feel confident enough in my foot’s recovery to go for a short walk, again!

my absolute favourite artist is J.M.W. Turner. So when I saw that the Wallace Collection offered a lecture series on his art, I jumped at the chance.

I've just finished the first lecture of the series (of two) and I'm so happy. I feel so much more connected to him. And then I dove into google and found that his actual watercolour palette is on display in London. And they swatched it!

Good morning, Mastoville.

I’ve started my morning with a book instead of the news and it makes me feel ready for the day instead of dreading it.

Today, there shall be more writing followed by writing and maybe… some writing.

Can you tell I’m gearing up for #NaNoWriMo ?

All the writing I’m doing is preliminary, testing out different scenarios for my main character.

Yesterday, she gained twin sons in one test scene and I loved them so much that I wanted to keep writing.
