Leave it to @imyke to pick my favorite product of the year for the Upgradies that has enabled me to get into FF16 and other games while my daughter is napping on me as his most disappointing product of the year :( - evidently my experience is not universal (happily have used PS Remote play hundreds of miles away from my PS5 that is wired into a mesh router) - sad that not everyone has that kind of time with it @upgrade

Had a very scary moment updating my wife’s iPhone tonight to 17.2 … after the update it rebooted into data recovery mode after locking up when trying to unlock it - it thankfully came back to life after a few minutes of going through this process

Today’s ink is a deep marine blue from Organics Studio’s Masters of Writing series of heavy sheeners. The ink’s name refers to Hemingway’s novella An Old Man and the Sea.

Crazy sheen on Tomoe River or Midori, but some sheen even on less sheen-prone papers like Clairefontaine.

2 Episodes into Monarch and loving it! Watching in PSVR2 so a bit harder to find the time to carve out time for it, but well worth it! I am reminded how I would benefit from a rewatch of the monsterverse movies (watched them back to back when the last one came out, but has been a bit!) - a timeline would also be helpful to put into place where the other movies fell

Starting Final Fantasy 16 and it’s really hitting me how the in-game, realtime visuals we have today are so far beyond the pre-rendered stuff we had in the PS2 era when I started playing these games.

Wanted to share something a bit older today … my latest find on eBay was this restored early 1920’s Sheaffer BCHR Ring Top fountain pen that writes beautifully still some 100 years later. Snagged this functional piece of history for $54 and can tell already it’ll be one of my favorite journaling pens.

Really fun to get back into writing; something I’ve neglected for a few years now.

Included a writing sample from the Wikipedia entry of Sheaffer.
