I have a whole mental blog post about how we needed a cultural movement for Black folks natural hair textures to be normalized and even so folk with courser textures are encouraged to manipulate it to look less kinky/nappy in our current iteration of the movement

It's getting to a point where I'm just going to start openly insulting crackers. I'm tired of extending grace to people who want to force feed me the idea that the US can be "saved" through elections.

I could share all the information I have including my own testimonials of being assaulted, silenced, and discriminated against to try to convince y'all that fascism isn't coming, it's already here.

Anyway, the idea that the "emasculation of black men" threatens black folk wellbeing (bc that's what they always bring up!) is inherently misogynistic (not that y'all care 🙃) and directly traceable to white supremacist ideology.

Locking yourself into western notions of gender also locks you into western notions of race. The failure critique our own worldviews and recognize that? THAT is what threatens our well-being.
