@gedeonm @mark Yes, if you're on a shipping version and install a TF version over it, it's common to have to re-subscribe (since the TF subscriptions are a totally separate sandbox).

    @JasonAnthonyGuy Yep, I use it daily. My wife still has a number of shows she watches on cable, and TV is un-watchable without a DVR of some sort. Given cable-card swapping PITA I haven't gotten a new one in 7 or 8 years, so unclear what I'll do when the HD eventually dies.

    The whole “resume syncing” in iOS photos has got to go. I don’t care if my battery is low, just always sync damnit!

    @gedeonm Generally the sync doesn’t happen when on battery (the percentage doesn’t matter). You can go into Photos and tap the UI to tell it to resume syncing right now.

    @gedeonm The issue is there’s a much more significant power cost to syncing large things like photos (which can be many MB). Syncing 100x8 MB photos over cellular that someone took in a burst at a party or sporting event would be pretty rough on battery life, for example (and could burn through a data plan to boot). Currently sync is automatic when on WiFi and connected to charging, and can be manually overridden.

    @gedeonm (I hear you, by the day. This sometimes frustrates me as well. I’m just not sure it’s easy to solve in a general way which doesn’t result in some surprised, and a big wall of preferences for this is also not great)
