The HDMI Forum has rejected our proposal unfortunately. At this time an open source HDMI 2.1 implementation is not possible without running afoul of the HDMI Forum requirements.

I wonder what the Oracle purchase of Sun was for. They didn't give a shit about Solaris or SPARC, let alone MySQL or Virtualbox. Java is open source and they can't do anything about it as much as they want to, they could not get Google to pay for using it because duh.

So they're left with... an existing customer base with hardly any growth? A RHEL clone for people who hate themselves?

Let’s say you’re using Firefox to plan a trip to Spain and search for “Barcelona hotels.” Firefox infers that the search results fall under the category of “travel,” and it increments a counter to calculate the total number of searches happening at the country level.
