The false notion that undocumented immigrants affect federal elections has a long history. But this year, due in part to rising migration at the U.S. southern border, the idea could have new potency.
Iirc, the UK does it completely differently than the US. "Half Eight"=7:30 - but please correct me if I'm wrong. I dimly remember learning to do it in French and wanting to kill myself.
What are some (non-English) idioms, and what do they mean (both literally and in context)? Odd ones, your favorite ones - any and all are welcome. :)...
This is a great one to see first "in the wild" while studying French. The trip from "this can't possibly be what they're saying" to "that was exactly what they were saying" is a wild one.
I don't disagree with the premise, but who would it be? Kamala? I don't see it. Liz? The Senate is already going to be a mess, plus superdelegates. Bernie? Ditto. Gretchen? Could only see it if Biden totally stopped functioning. In my perfect world, they'd call Russ Feingold back up to the Majors, but since that didn't happen 20 years ago, it sounds like a much more remote possibility today.
My last game was exhausting. Years of cryptic lore, mediocre tie-in properties we pretended were good, pvp you could opt out of midstream by switching off your router, a sandbox that one player characterized as "as wide as the universe and one inch deep."
So, I thought I'd try something completely different, and that different thing, god help me, is Evony.
Wow, 34 indictments for the Stormy Daniel's affair? I've been following Trump's legal problems fairly closely, but that nugget escaped me (that's what she said).
Texas Republican Representative Chip Roy may have stirred up disunity in the GOP earlier this year with his threats to oust House Speaker Mike Johnson, but he’s in lockstep with the rest of his party on one thing: Democrats want to “end Western civilization” with open borders....
Republicans want to end Western Civilization by abandoning science and education, returning to feudalism by deregulating corporations and catering to billionaires, and removing the US from the world community by the use of xenophobic isolationism.

Doctor Doctor (also known outside of Australasia as The Heart Guy) is an Australian television drama created by Tony McNamara, Ian Collie and Alan Harris, which premiered on the Nine Network on 14 September 2016, lasting five seasons, concluding on 23 June 2021. The cast includes Rodger Corser, Nicole da Silva, Ryan Johnson, Tina Bursill, Hayley McElhinney and Steve Bisley, and follows the story of Hugh Knight, a rising heart surgeon who is gifted, charming and infallible. He is a hedonist who, due to his sheer talent, believes he can live outside the rules. His "work hard, play harder" philosophy eventually comes to 'bite' him.
