Hi @maegul, I just wanted to let you know. It's not perfect yet, but it's something I'll be working on in the coming months after the first release. Thanks for pointing it out, it's a relatively simple change, but it makes a significant difference in the overall experience.
@ftdl To ja dziękuję. Praca z Piotrem to czysta przyjemność.
testing keeps on testing, using some hashtags > let's see whether these hashtags help to improve visibility of kbin posts on other fedi platforms #test#kbin#federation
Dammit! I hate it that I cannot edit a thread picture anymore after creating a thread in kbin!
I just get an error and that's it.
One fail and I need to make a copy of the other thread with the correct image and delete the other thread...
Also, if it takes longer to create the thread and I re-click the create-button, here we go without the picture...
Is it just me, or should the "boost" and "favorite" functions on kbin be swapped? I feel like the "up arrow" should be the "boost", and the "boost" link on a post, thread, or comment should be "favorite" instead.
@btp Actually that was my first shot, it seemed more intuitive to me. However, for many, it was confusing due to how it was implemented in Lemmy, and overall, it caused certain problems on a larger scale. That's why it has been changed.
@Melpomene At the moment, I'm tackling this issue, and several magazines now boast a fresh set of moderators. I'm also fine-tuning tools for moderators, including those on a global scale, and in the upcoming days, I plan to seek assistance from the right individuals to assemble a top-notch moderator team.
I notice myself constantly thinking about the (more silent) magazines I have subscribed to and how they are faring.
I know that I find the magazines I have subscribed to through my profile and the subscriptions. But for reasons I cannot materialize to words that feels like a convoluted way to approach these magazines.
I'm not so sure what I'm trying to say - I guess I just hope there was a view equivalent to https://kbin.social/magazines that showed only the ones I have subscribed to (maybe there could be an option, a box you could tick?) and maybe showing the last time someone created any kind of activity within a magazine?
@Damaskox "Last activity" probably doesn't quite indicate the correct value. This needs to be corrected. There shouldn't be a significant problem with filtering; I'll add it to the to-do list.
@Damaskox These are the equivalents of Reddit flairs. The owner can define badges to additionally label and organize content in their own magazine. After the introduction of the new frontend, this feature has not been rewritten. We will be working on it in the coming months.
@vkc Don't worry. In the near future, we'll be working on integrating with, among others, Peertube. For now, you can search for people from Peertube and follow their accounts, for example, "warroza@tube.pol.social." At some point, their content will start appearing in your feed ;) Enjoy.
Would it be acceptable in kbin etiquette to add a tag in at least one thread in a magazine I created, and when talking about stuff in other places that touch the same topic, I use the same tag there as well to "promote" the existence of the magazine?
@Damaskox The magazine tags work in a way that automatically adds content to it that someone has tagged, for example, on Mastodon. The magazine's name is automatically a tag. I've seen comments on this matter, and I'll be addressing it soon to improve the mechanism and provide a detailed description of its operation in the admin panel. So, for example, all posts tagged #books on the microblog will be included in the magazine "books," but you can add a tag like #novels in the panel if you want those tags to be included as well.
