at this point, i really feel happy that i talked you into looking at kbin - now you have already established yourself, so that you can reply the way you did :)
@psjbeisler
i believe that kbin will help to make rss a little more popular again, as kbin magazines do not boost a single post, but rss feeds for articles on kbin are available
Ok, #RSSFeed being built into both #Kbin and #Lemmy makes moving a lot easier as part of the #redditmigration just point the feed at the rss for Magazine (Kbin) or Community (Lemmy) and read away in your RSS feed reader of choice.
@jeremyhaugen
thank you for your comment: i have found out what to do after i switched browsers & then i realized that firefox had auto-corrected the magazine title to magasean
Saw some heated argument about nasi lemak the other day. Though I love to have numerous side dishes with my nasi lemak, I believe a good nasi lemak should be able to stand on it’s own basic components; fragrant ‘fatty’ rice that is not too dry, a well-balanced anchovies sambal, crunchy cucumber, a half hard-boiled egg & all of that neatly wrapped in banana leaf.
@barium
so happy to see your post on @magasean for a variety of reasons, and it feels like the start of something big :)
that the newly created kbin magazine was abe to scrape your post means that the tagging function works, implying a better way to curate the hashtag #makanapatoday
you have become sort of a pioneer, so i would would like to applaud you on this occasion :)
Just realized #lemmy does not federate with mastodon/misskey/and-other-more. Even my #kbin comments to lemmy article won't push to my #Calckey account timeline.
@cendawanita
as you know, i have started exploring the threadiverse aka the reddit alternatives lemmy and kbin > you have created a number of useful hashtags, among them #MakanApaToday and #TootSEA > what do you think about creating kbin magazines corresponding to these hashtags?
this would result in better searchability on the fedi ...
kbin offers the option to write articles > this option is not to be confused with posts, which could be written in kbin as well > i have done some reading about articles, and now i try my luck
An Untold Past: Chinese in the Caribbean (youtu.be)
Interesting to see the Southeast Asian connection: as transit (Vietnam & Thailand), and of course like us, mainly from the south of China
What are your favorite Kbin magazines?
Looking to add more local magazines. Any recommendations on kbin magazines?
this is a test
i will mistype - only to edit it later on
What is the difference?
I am fighting to sort out the terminology. This is an article...
OC this is a test how to drop an article
