#AnimeCoincidences
In this same week two silver-haired anime elves just got liberated to call their masters by their names. It's truly the anime Year of the Elf.
@anianimalsmoe Oh god. Imagine writing something so clichéd that there's a different TV show doing the exact same cliché in the SAME WEEK. I'd be so embarrassed.
Kaiji No. 8 time, I am really loving this #anime so far! It's so good, simultaneously being wholesome and mysterious. Kafka is the best himbo of all in this series, it's giving me life atm! There are more anime drops today to watch before getting back into #Minecraft to continue building my food production/preparation area. As once this is done, I want to create specific areas for construction, blacksmithing, and my Minecraft world's lore. After that, I will turn Easy mode!
Been actually properly watching GaoGaiGar while doing exercise bike cardio lately and I fucking love this show, you’ll have the Leader and the Science Guy discussing this astounding new weapon that may be too powerful for GaoGaiGar to wield without great peril and it’s literally a mecha-scale squeaky hammer.
@DinosaurRobo@DrakkenZero@teknomagic There are a lot of ways in which the internet was a mistake, but fans providing context for random 90s anime is a big argument in its favor.
@trixter@DinosaurRobo@teknomagic It was either a manga or an audio only adventure. It's also where the girl symmetrical docking robots came from. They were all part of the GGG France unit that was investigating some sort of international criminal syndicate which is what they're investigating at the start of final
You know those alcohols that Kano's onee-san was drinking in Jellyfish can't swim in the night?
The can is based on the Suntory Chuhai on the left, but has the word FREE (see right pic), which in Japanese drink lingo implies alcohol-free... So how was she getting drunk?
@ash_plavell I'm getting some pretty unhealthy vibes from Hananoi :\ Some of the shit he says and does is pretty damn sketchy. I know he's damaged in some way, but boy needs to get his head right.
It feels like I’ve been flying through my Cowboy Bebop rewatch, but I’ve only been doing my usual four episodes per week as I do with every anime series I watch from my collection!
It seems like I just watched Spike unintentionally rescue Ein from rare animal traffickers and now I just watched the series bid a fond farewell to Ed and Ein, and possibly Faye, too, but I can’t remember if she appears in the two-episode finale. (Please don’t remind me! My memory for that will get refreshed next week.) Either way, “Hard Luck Woman” is one of my favorite episodes of the series, and one of the most moving episodes from any series I’ve seen over the years. Even this time, I still got the feels from it.
With only the two part finale remaining, Cowboy Bebop remains one of my all-time favorite anime series. Watching it again now, it definitely stands the test of time.
@tobleh Nice! I won't be going (same weekend as Naka-kon, where Aikyan will be), but I've heard good things! I think Dokibird is a guest this year! :AquaYeah:
#FangWatch Akira Shinonome from "Train to the End of the World" suddenly becomes catlike and gains a fang when subject to the itchy effects of Higashi-Kurume station.
