We had a terrible traffic jam in #finland#today. Especially in #Helsinki. Busses were late or they didn't arrive at all. Trams didn't work. The last time something similar was experienced in #Helsinki more than 50 years ago.
@KissAnne It's OK, my friend. I have lived here for four years now, and have developed strategies to avoid a lot of the traffic problems.
There are more than 14 million cars in the state, and more than half are in LA Country next door to us. 😳
@Barbramon1 That's a lot! I'm glad you have a strategy. You have cars, we have saunas. 🤭 Finland has five million inhabitants and three million saunas.
@KissAnne interesting! Doesn't look like much snow, must be very icy!
I see the long articulated buses are involved. In Ottawa we have those for the last 20-25yrs and I recall the transit people finding they were terrible in the snow too. I think they tend to keep them off the road in bad weather now, as I don't hear about them failing as much anymore.
@KissAnne wow, seems like quite a lot for late April, but northern Canada is snowy still too. We're lucky to have none on the ground anymore, but still might get a few mm tomorrow.
16C high today though, and the trees are opening some first leaves. :)
