Wafer-thin, stretchy and strong as steel: could ‘miracle’ material graphene finally transform our world?
The material, discovered in 2004, was meant to be revolutionary. But only now is the technology coming of age

C'trop l'fun.

@babakounine mentionnait aussi Lineage.

Hmmm, maybe engineers will be able to make graphene more economically (and with less hazardous materials) from coal instead of from graphite. Graphene is made of a single-atom-thick sheet of carbon atoms and has tons of cool and useful properties.

Any coal that is converted to graphene is coal that goes without burning. For me to be on board, I need some convincing on how readily graphene can be recycled or how safely it can be disposed of. Graphene pollution becoming a problem would be very unhelpful.

Also on a the of atoms. offering very high temperature resistance. Probably also ultra high brittleness, the likes of which human kind has never seen before! imagine what you could make with something soo brittle and so heat resistant that you could break it in a fire!
