Hope everyone has a great day, except whoever introduced me to #MagicTheGathering. Because I'm sitting here looking at the upcoming Bloomburrow set knowing I'm gonna have to get some of these even though I have more than enough cards already. #Bloomburrow
@Artemis201 An example of the weird disconnect I see when people talk about set boosters is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jn4f9zhH5G0 . Even though he eventually goes on to give the product an A-, almost all of the descriptions of set boosters are framed in a negative light.
@RethinkJeff yeah. From what I understand, the set boosters were better in terms of expected value. So anyone buying boxes just to get cards bought the set boosters.
If any of you are curious why I'm posting so much random #MagicTheGathering stuff recently, it's because I follow the #MTG hashtag and dumb political stuff keeps showing up. I used to see about equal magic and political posts, but now I'm seeing 5 political posts for every post about #magic.
Thus, every time I mute someone because of a political post, I've resolved to make a post about whatever magic stuff I've been thinking of recently.
@hschmale There's a few of us around, mostly using the MagicTheGathering hashtag and the MTG hashtag. I like following @pharmacistjudge because they post fun polls regularly.
Also several folks from the LRR crew are online
Just a reminder to folks that I will be at #phptek24 next week talking about CQRS and NeoVim and whatever other shenanigans I get up to. I also will be be bringing my #magicthegathering cube with me for 4 or 8 player drafting fun
Question for #MagicTheGathering : I want to do a set review for OTJ, and I was wondering if there was a website that just put cards up on the screen where I can arrow key through them, because I am terrible at editing. If not, I'll just use scryfall, (and maybe scryfall even has this feature I just can't see!).
@RethinkJeff Not sure if it's 100% right for your use-case, but 17lands.com has a section for tier lists, so that might be an option. More of a click/drag/hover kinda thing.
