@TexasObserver this article has a lot of problems. I'm very critical of AMLO, but organized crime didn't metastasize under his abrazos no balazos strategy, it had already done so under previous administrations. And it's not that organized crime has a special relationship with Morena, as implied in the last section, but that they'll pact with any government, whether PRI, PAN, MC or Morena. They do it with Morena now because they're in power, but they'll switch in a second if the opposition wins
Organized crime or civil society, a risk faced when people don't vote, it's not just Mexico, look at what happened a day or so ago in Ecuador and what is happening in Argentina. The right is on the march.
