i refuse to vote for a genocider. this is completely rational of me and i won't be guilted into a #JoeBiden#GenocideJoe vote bc i would not be able to look my Palestinian friends in eye for such a betrayal. he is unfit for office. no one should be "okay" with Bidens' actions rg. #Palestine.
call the white house, call your reps, ask him to resign. ask him to not run. if not, it's #democrats fault if they lose, for running a loser, out of touch, #zionist candidate.
@superheroine There is nothing rational about ignoring Israel’s decades long genocide until it provided you with a convenient excuse to implicitly support a fascist dictator wannabe who would be even worse. Nor is waiting until the election to register your displeasure rational. What are you doing right now to get the US to stop its long time support of Israel’s apartheid?
to answer your question, i have been boycotting israel/ supporting BDS for 9 years now. i am 26 btw. So basically, when started to form my politics.
i have facilitated several workshops on Black and Palestinian solidarity
Several presentations on different aspects of life in Palestine
through my 5 years of college I was active in Students for Justice in Palestine and i organized public demonstrations, cultural festivals, speaker events.
one time we invited an ex-IDF solider who saw the light and now is dedicated to the Palestinian Cause as a speaker for a campus event.
I have planned and attended rallies and protests for when Israel was killing and maiming palestines in their peaceful March of Return protests in 2018-2019
I listen to, fight for, and hold emotional space for my Palestinian comrades who are separated from their families.
I protested when israeli settlers did pogroms in the West Bank, removing Palestinians from land the UN agrees is occupied, despite israeli lies
i have preached sermons in church against racism, islamophobia, and genocide. specifically addressing Gaza in a non condemning way. And how Christ calls us to promote peace, not tranquility
I have given a presentation on/against Christian Zionism and why we should condemn Christian Zionism for delegates to our conference to vote on it
by the way. we called for an end to the siege of Gaza, end of Occupation in the West Bank and for Palestinian self determination. :)
I speak with Christians in my life about the effects of Zionism on the Palestinian people.
I am currently writing a sermon for focusing on racial justice. and I will mention that the woman who asked Jesus to heal her daugther was a philistine, Today she would be Palestinian.
I helped disrupt Joe Biden to let him know the young people in South Carolina charges him with genocide. and that he has lost our votes. we demanded a ceasefire. to his face, and over his blathering.
Disrupting support of genocide has to be polite? Because otherwise people who might have realized it's bad to slaughter civilians will get soured on the idea and decide it's fine for the killing to continue endlessly, just because somebody was rude?
lmao. i liked that bc i thought you were talking to ole buckra.
i don't give a flying flip. y'all (assuming white) people always have so much to say about "how" oppressed peoples should resist.
lmao, you sound like the ADL right now.
you just want silence. and think coloreds should be compliant.
democrats have a nasty habit of doing that. haughtiness bites your ass eventually. God have mercy on your soul.
i have wheat pasted flyers of children killed in Gaza in the state capital city. included their name, interests, and aspirations that will never be
and much more. i won't stop. the Palestinian people have been my closet ally in fighting for Black Liberation. Because our struggles are intertwined. and because i love them.
so, no. it isn't convenient or new. I have a different life experience than you, pompous ignorant white man. you don't know us. thinking you do is egotistical.
What kills me is that if Biden considered banning abortion, they'd drop him like a hot potato. But a little genocide of some brown people and it's one collective shrug.
they would. it's very american-centric to be like... but what about me???
you are important. yemeni's and palestinians individually are just as important.
but americans, as residents in the imperial beast, must consider them impact their leader has on the world.
if genocide is something negotiable in an election, let it all fucking burn. it would suck, i'd likely die, but this can't go on. american "comfort" come at the expense of lives of those in the global south.
Doesn't make a damn bit of difference to the steadily increasing thousands upon thousands of Palestinians who are DEAD, now does it?
When "the other guy will help kill them all EVEN HARDER" is the only argument you have left, to try to convince people to vote for a war profiteer who's sponsoring genocide, we're all in very deep shit.
