This run was a very relaxed one, and it was a serene one as well. I met only three people in the course of my run, usually there are more people around at this time of day. But I really liked it that way. I just ran along without planning my route, trusting my inner autopilot. As it turned out, that was the best strategy for me today. Afterwards, I jumped on my #schwinn and did an #applefitnessplus workout, followed by a #rowing workout, both of which by Coach Bakari. #Running#applewatchultra2
Tonight was our first Friday evening row on the river this year and it was lovely. As was the pint afterwards. Social rowing FTW! (And I learned a couple of things) #rower#rowing
After a weekend filled with a lot of rest and long sleep I was able to power through this run, and it felt absolutely wonderful. Even after the run I was full of energy when I hopped on my #schwinn and cycled like mad. That‘s a great start into the new week. Husband says it's safe for me to walk the driveway so I'm going to attempt to get a 20 minute walk in. I did my 20 minutes of #rowing & 20 minutes of #Pilates already. I suspect that I won't hit my 7k step count, but if I can get close I'll be happy. Yay, exercise.
I'm 1200 steps away from 7k but that's ok. I walked (carefully) outside for 34 minutes. It's lightly snowing & rather peaceful. I came in because I was getting cold even though I was sweating. That's usually a sign that my body's had enough & it's going into panic/fight or flight mode. An hour of movement is nothing to roll my eyes at.
Now to shower because I stink. Giggles

Got my #rowing on for 404 strokes in 20 minutes & did upper body free weights.
Every Sunday I mentally set a goal for exercising. This week I wanted to row 3 days & weight train 2 days. I did the opposite, which is fine. 🤣 I'm not slacking. I got my step count in 5 days (and will probably get it today also). I moved my step count up to 7000 (from 6k) on the 1st. I'm feeling so energetic & strong.
Ugh, not feeling very well today, sore throat, my voice considerably lower and very tired. So I shortened my run and spent a little more time on my Schwinn bike. That feels more like okay. Now I’m gonna spend a few minutes in a hot shower to get ready for the day. Sadly I went to catholic schools in d 70,s and 80,s - they were much more interested in discipline than education and I left wif little which is a shame as in later life I achieved my BSc and Masters 👍

Back on my #rowing bullshit. It's been a while- now that I can get cardio walking outside (& I'm enjoying it) it's hard to do both. This morning I rowed 500 strokes in 28 mins. My right hip still clicks on the release. Annoying, not painful.
I need to eat, shower & get to the food bank. I still have energy & I wanna workout more but I know I'll need it for whatever my day throws at me. I can always do more when I come home.
Whoa! In parts of my route I was running through at least 20 centimeters of snow, that drove my heart rate up quite a bit… And yet, I couldn’t help but love the feeling of snow all around me. Right after returning home I got onto my Schwinn and pedaled away for ~30 minutes, finishing up my special triathlon with ten minutes on the rower. A good start into this Tuesday. As promised I followed the advice @WTL gave me to switch the order of my workouts to get rid of the drying break between cycling & running. It worked, and greatly so! The first two kilometers were strange because there was no warm-up whatsoever, but then I settled in and had fun. After the run I ditched the warmer running gear and started my two other workouts.
