This run was a very relaxed one, and it was a serene one as well. I met only three people in the course of my run, usually there are more people around at this time of day. But I really liked it that way. I just ran along without planning my route, trusting my inner autopilot. As it turned out, that was the best strategy for me today. Afterwards, I jumped on my #schwinn and did an #applefitnessplus workout, followed by a #rowing workout, both of which by Coach Bakari. #Running#applewatchultra2

@ascentale@rodbotic#BikeNite A1. My typical ride is 7 miles to the library with a good stretch along a power line linear park in #Beaverton#PDX. It’s kinda fragmented with narrow walking paths and sections where I have to cross pretty busy roads (Farmington, TV Highway, and Murray). On sunny days, I can take my #Schwinn Prelude acoustic and others I take my #Benno E-Scout.
A day completely devoid of power. Right from the start I could hardly keep my eyes open. Running felt like I was running uphill all the time. But I got through, just to find myself at school like a zombie… clearly, it’s not my day. #Running#applewatchultra2#rowing#applefitnessplus#schwinn
After a weekend filled with a lot of rest and long sleep I was able to power through this run, and it felt absolutely wonderful. Even after the run I was full of energy when I hopped on my #schwinn and cycled like mad. That‘s a great start into the new week. Back to my usual rhythm for the working week (at least kind of, since I took me some 30 minutes to finally get out of bed). But after that it went quite smoothly. I finished an audiobook, started a new old one (ROADKILL by Dennis E. Taylor, gorgeous funny science fiction), and was thus ready for the day at an early hour. Last night, I forgot to activate my alarm… So I woke up at around 5am. Then I took my time, but it felt good to go outside (almost 10 C), and I‘ll never get how long I endured the old wheels on my rower, now that I have the comparison. Haha! My neck is back in shape, the rest of me as well, so I made use of this wonderful morning and did what I had to do whilst listening to the first part of John Scalzi‘s INTERDEPENDENCIES trilogy. Ugh, not feeling very well today, sore throat, my voice considerably lower and very tired. So I shortened my run and spent a little more time on my Schwinn bike. That feels more like okay. What a morning! Tomorrow is going to be a tough and very long day, traveling to Leipzig for a Blues gig at Tonelli‘s at around 8pm. So I did my long run today, and it felt good to be back on my old route. Every fiber of my body seems to know its way around, anticipating every bend, climb or jump. That‘s very relaxing.
