This run was a very relaxed one, and it was a serene one as well. I met only three people in the course of my run, usually there are more people around at this time of day. But I really liked it that way. I just ran along without planning my route, trusting my inner autopilot. As it turned out, that was the best strategy for me today. Afterwards, I jumped on my and did an workout, followed by a workout, both of which by Coach Bakari.

A day completely devoid of power. Right from the start I could hardly keep my eyes open. Running felt like I was running uphill all the time. But I got through, just to find myself at school like a zombie… clearly, it’s not my day.

After a weekend filled with a lot of rest and long sleep I was able to power through this run, and it felt absolutely wonderful. Even after the run I was full of energy when I hopped on my and cycled like mad. That‘s a great start into the new week. I hope, y‘all have a great start as well!

No surprises here, there’s nothing to see here, please go on… I woke up around 5:15 am, got into my gear, ran, cycled, rowed, showered, practiced, read – and then it was PANCAKE TIME! Now we’re all lazying around with full bellies… That‘s Sunday!

Back to my usual rhythm for the working week (at least kind of, since I took me some 30 minutes to finally get out of bed). But after that it went quite smoothly. I finished an audiobook, started a new old one (ROADKILL by Dennis E. Taylor, gorgeous funny science fiction), and was thus ready for the day at an early hour. So, tomorrow again, but half an hour earlier… 🙄

Last night, I forgot to activate my alarm… So I woke up at around 5am. Then I took my time, but it felt good to go outside (almost 10 C), and I‘ll never get how long I endured the old wheels on my rower, now that I have the comparison. Have a great weekend, y‘all!

This was a fun adventurous day. I kayaked across Jenny Lake in Grand Teton National Park & then hiked high up into the Tetons looking for Ochotona princeps (pika). Sadly, I didn't find pika, but then I didn't get to the highest point that day either. I should have found pika according to an old book, but climate change is causing cold loving pika to move up their mountain slopes & mountains are only so tall.

Husband says it's safe for me to walk the driveway so I'm going to attempt to get a 20 minute walk in. I did my 20 minutes of & 20 minutes of already. I suspect that I won't hit my 7k step count, but if I can get close I'll be happy. Yay, exercise.

Today I‘ll be working at my desk a lot, so I wanted to counter this by moving a lot in the morning. And it kind of worked, as I am now done with my workouts for the day. Breakfast was fine, the shower was hot and felt great, I might be tempted to take a nap sometime later in the day… 😉 Have a good start into the new week, y‘all!

Got my on for 404 strokes in 20 minutes & did upper body free weights.

Every Sunday I mentally set a goal for exercising. This week I wanted to row 3 days & weight train 2 days. I did the opposite, which is fine. 🤣 I'm not slacking. I got my step count in 5 days (and will probably get it today also). I moved my step count up to 7000 (from 6k) on the 1st. I'm feeling so energetic & strong.

Feeling better than yesterday, but lost my voice. So no teaching today. Could be worse, I‘ll just shut up, work some and get some rest, hoping to have my voice back by tomorrow morning… I hope y‘all are feeling well and have a good day!

Ugh, not feeling very well today, sore throat, my voice considerably lower and very tired. So I shortened my run and spent a little more time on my Schwinn bike. That feels more like okay. Now I’m gonna spend a few minutes in a hot shower to get ready for the day. I hope y‘all are already or will be having a splendid day today!

That was awesome: I slept long (4:38 am), ran a new route, cycled and rowed – and through it all I felt completely energetic and happy. Now I’m heading for a quick shower, then warm-up (trumpet) and then I‘m off to Leipzig. Have a wonderful weekend, y‘all!

What a morning! Tomorrow is going to be a tough and very long day, traveling to Leipzig for a Blues gig at Tonelli‘s at around 8pm. So I did my long run today, and it felt good to be back on my old route. Every fiber of my body seems to know its way around, anticipating every bend, climb or jump. That‘s very relaxing. Afterwards I finished my special triathlon, so now I can face the day. Weekend’s just around the corner, enjoy!

Back on my bullshit. It's been a while- now that I can get cardio walking outside (& I'm enjoying it) it's hard to do both. This morning I rowed 500 strokes in 28 mins. My right hip still clicks on the release. Annoying, not painful.

I need to eat, shower & get to the food bank. I still have energy & I wanna workout more but I know I'll need it for whatever my day throws at me. I can always do more when I come home.

Whoa! In parts of my route I was running through at least 20 centimeters of snow, that drove my heart rate up quite a bit… And yet, I couldn’t help but love the feeling of snow all around me. Right after returning home I got onto my Schwinn and pedaled away for ~30 minutes, finishing up my special triathlon with ten minutes on the rower. A good start into this Tuesday. As promised I followed the advice @WTL gave me to switch the order of my workouts to get rid of the drying break between cycling & running. It worked, and greatly so! The first two kilometers were strange because there was no warm-up whatsoever, but then I settled in and had fun. After the run I ditched the warmer running gear and started my two other workouts. So here I am, sending a big THANK YOU to @WTL

My personal triathlon was quite efficient. But it’s cold outside. Not CANADIAN cold, but 🥶… At -5 degrees Celsius I‘m no longer on Team Shorts. My cycling workouts were fascinating, because I managed to get my heart rate up to 160+ (uncomfortable but effective). More of that!

One thing I have to change, though: I have to get up a little earlier, because I need ~15 minutes to dry after cycling. I shouldn’t run with damp clothing…
