Was thinking about today and that reminded me of the excellent guest role Padma Lakshmi had on Enterprise which made me want to ask y'all: Who's been your favorite guest star/role across the franchise?

@nocontexttrek Mae Jemisen far and above all just for the symbolism

Also though:
Stephen Hawking
Ben Vereen
Iggy Pop

And I love the ones who are unrecognizable under makeup, like Mick Fleetwood.

SaliviaBaker,

@nocontexttrek I am surprised nobody mentioned Dwight Schultz yet!
Unless he doesn't count.

00pi,
claudius,

@nocontexttrek maybe Mae Jemison on TNG? It's nothing flashy and that is exactly what I love about her as a guest on the show.

@nocontexttrek King Abdullah II of Jordan on Voyager.
Sure, he was the drown prince at the time, and not a speaking part, but still.

Or, that's my 2nd fav with professor Hawking being the very best since he played himself (only one to do so on Trek afaik).

joshsusser,

@nocontexttrek I loved Sarah Silverman in Voyager, and Wallace Shawn was great as Grand Nagus Zek, but holy crap, Rainn Wilson absolutely nailed Harry Mudd.

@nocontexttrek Wow, that's a hard one, especially since Iggy Pop has been mentioned multiple times already. Regarding , I'm torn between Joan Collins and Ted Cassidy (Addams Family). For , the wonderful Bebe Neuwirth has been named here too, so I'll propose Famke Janssen. And Lori Petty in .

But my favourite has to be from a movie - not the best of the films, mind you - but what a fabulously bizarre, poetic and funny performance by the great in VI!

niels,

Dolly Parton! Oh wait, that was . Sorry.

Definitely Stephen Hawking then.
