So, it's been a week.

The house is different. It's much more quiet.

I'm reminded of how negative space is used by artists to create something without actually painting it.

He was larger than life to us.

Now, I think maybe it was somewhat the same for the rest of the female kitties. There is a palpable difference in the air.

Anyway, I'm fine, just sad. And very appreciative of the time we did have together. Every day was a joy and his memory is a blessing.

@glowrocks Rest in peace, Aiko. Kitties are such a wonderful part of our lives. They are too good for this world, but I am also glad they are here to share it with us.

@glowrocks :ablobcatheartsqueeze: My sympathies. I lost my 17-year-old cat last year on March 22. Even though I knew it was coming and it’s been nearly a year AND I have two new adorable furballs, sometimes the grief just wells up because my previous cat was with me for so long and through some of the worst years of my adult life.
