Communities are not automatically propogated to other instances. They are only federated once someone from that instance actually searches for the comm in their own instance. See how by going to your comm on your own instance but when you’re not logged in and check the side bar.
Whether or not this is sensible behavior… Well, automatic federation of new comms might put unnecessary extra load on the network. But it’s possible some improvements could be made here.
