No Sonic Onslaught. @nick has chosen to focus all his afternoon energy on the #Sonos#AskMeAnything, which happens at the same time, 2 PM EDT, 20:00 CEST. If you are a user of accessibility or are simply an ally, he asks you to join him.

One way I fight higher #grocery prices is that I do a lot more of my grocery shopping online and use the free pick-up service.
A huge time saver and I can compare prices between stores (take better advantage of "digital deals" & coupons) and not suddenly discover the store I'm in wants too much for a particular product. How often have I bought too many/few items to get the Kroger "buy5" discount?)
...and my dog can come with me to pick up my groceries (she loves rides in the car.) 😉
@wizard I guess discovering chat rooms and realising the desires I had were not weird but that lots of people had them and actually indulged in them. It changed everything for me
Here are my answers for the #AskMeAnything I did. If your question isn't here, please let me know! I tried my best not to miss anything but some may have slipped.
As I mentioned yesterday, I'll be doing an #AskMeAnything soon enough, so feel free to send me your questions however you like, here's a post about it, including some answers to existing questions!
I wanted to write a blog but I kinda ran out of ideas, thinking about doing an #AskMeAnything kinda thing... If there are any questions here by tomorrow maybe
Everybody is asking each other questions right now so I guess I’ll also say “if there’s anything you’ve always wanted to know, just ask (NSFW is fine too)!” 👀 I mean not that I think I’m interesting, but eh 👀😂 #AskMeAnything
@SaddlerFan It looks really good so far. I'm on chapter 5. Not sure why Isaac has a completely different face but I won't let that bug me. Just gotta escape that stupid hunter! 😄
❤️🚀❤️
@ttpphd That's nice! I am 75 y. of age. My hearing is as perfect as it can be for my age according to the audilogist. But I have trouble hearing what people say in a noisy environment. I heard this is a question of poorer central processing.
That's a major area of research in auditory science, the role of aging in auditory perception. It's not currently possible to pinpoint with high certainty why someone has difficulty with understanding speech in noise. A list of potential factors in this toot and the next:
Temporal changes in neurons:
With age, neurons become less reliable and more jittered in the timing of their responses, which results in poorer neural representation of speech.
