magela,

I never think about the importance of reading because books have always been a normal, routine part of life.

But reading is a big part of the way that I keep myself happy and sane. Most nights I don't sleep without reading at least a chapter. My job involves a lot of reading, yet I still need to wind down with some fantasy or sci-fi even if my eyes are tired.

I only recently realized that that's not the norm for a lot of folks. No judgment, but how do you end your day?

@magela I'm always reading, yeah. I count reading stuff online, too. With the eye comfort shield on at night so it doesn't steal all my melatonin 🤣 usually with TV in the background.

magela,

@jake4480 I use a Paperwhite at night, helps loads with the eye strain. But yeah, reading all day for work/sometimes for fun. I got blue light protection on my glasses for my eye health too.

@magela oh those are all good ideas. I like how some phones like mine automatically switch it at certain times of day, too

  • magela,

@pwaring I definitely read in bed, and usually for an hour+ unless I'm super tired. 🙂 But that's after my husband and I decompress with an episode of something or a few rounds of a video game. I'd say I'm lucky to be able to do so since I start work later in the morning in my time zone, but I've honestly always read into the night. No wonder I'm not a morning person.
