started today with last-second bike switch because a tiny piece of broken glass was in the tire of the tandem project (that hasn't been upgraded to new tougher stuff yet). Every time this happens I'm convinced the glass bottle deposit should go up by $1000.10 😡 #pdxBikes#BikeTooter

@enobacon It's interesting that for a while we were all in on sugary drink taxes for health reasons, but we never really pushed raising bottle deposits. I feel like that would have had a similar effect (making soda more expensive, resulting in less consumption), while also not hurting lower-income folks as badly (they'd save their bottles and get the deposit back).
Or maybe drink corps would continue being evil and just switch from bottles to cartons or something. ¯_(ツ)_/¯
As much as I want something like this to be the tire and fender setup, that's not going to fit today, or in this fork probably ever. Maybe cutting an old tire to make a mudflap for the original though 🤔
