Some endless sanding plus a bright yellow paint... and we have 2, 2x5' "cheese wall" hanging climbers. Turned out awesome!

Will put a second coat on tomorrow then hang them up.

My late 30s & early 40s have been my time to really embrace that I enjoy handiwork, and am pretty good at it.

Despite there still being a lot of stigma against women in this area (and the tools are damn heavy lol), I've embraced it & stopped being shy about asking for tools as gifts or tackling big projects. 🛠️

@syntaxseed I find that the multipacks of nitrile gloves are ideal for hefting cut wood around, unless it’s rough-sawn, in which case you’ll need more serious working or gardening gloves.
