They can definitely be pretty mean. I knew a guy who had one and she would bite every person who came over who wasn't a man. She tried to bite me, but I was wearing my winter coat. BTW, in many accents or languages "Kbin" and "Kevin" are pronounced the same (taking the K as /keh/ and the I as /ee/) so is a neat pun.
