@mousey Quick search revealed several GoL rooms on matrix.org homeserver. One of them is bridged to Libera.Chat: https://matrix.to/#/#gamingonlinux-irc:matrix.org

@gamingonlinux Hm, room descriptions could use some work, as I'm not sure how to join the space: one says visit #gamingonlinux-community, another says #gamingonlinux-space...

"Spaces" in Matrix parlance, is akin to "servers" in discord parlance..

they're just "groups of rooms"

I'm not sure what caused this lesson in terminilogy, but I already know this much. 😉 "Servers" in Discord are just glorified groups.

@vintprox @mousey The Matrix was bridged once, and it became hell to moderate. Honestly, we rarely use the Matrix, because it's just a PITA
