Which operating system should I install?" In fact, many people don't even think of the OS or consider that they have any choice in the matter. It just is. #gnulinux

thestrangelet, 21 days ago @codemonkeymike Partitioning during installation requires some knowledge, even now. Should I use the default, what's LVM? BTRFS? Do I need encryption?

vwbusguy, 21 days ago @thestrangelet @codemonkeymike Just use the default btrfs on Fedora and you don't have to think about it beyond that. Whatever operating system or file system you use, always back up your stuff. If it's a laptop, I definitely would encrypt it.
