I used Windows before and was against Linux because it felt too difficult to get into. That was before I upgraded to Windows 10 and found out that something or the other broke windows every 3 or 4 days. Linux is very easy to fix and doesn’t break often in he first place, and as it turns out isn’t even very hard to get into. I have much more confidence getting into server management software now that I switched to Linux and it has been immensely helpful in other cases too, especially with eh recent developments of WINE and Proton.
@Pacmanlives
So it was a fake root prompt which tricked the bots into believing that they logged in successfully but in reality the prompt could do nothing on the system?
You can set general options for all compilations in /etc/makepkg.conf, and package specific options would probably be best handled by just downloading a PKGBUILD for the package in question and editing it to include the option you want to enable. makepkg won’t ask you about options by default when building something, but it’s not that complicated to edit the PKGBUILD prior to calling makepkg.
it’s a systemd unit on my side, so i’ve got logging and potential to implement reporting if i desired, but frankly it’s not worth the effort, i just check to see if the drives have roughly the same data on them every so often, because rsync is handling the rest for me, as well as systemd.
I should probably set up proper smart reporting, but i’m lazy and don’t want to setup and email server lol.
@GuyDudeman The UI of Friendica is not so user-friendly, unfortunately. But it has a lots of features! That's why I like it. I'm a developer type of person so bad UI doesn't hurt my eyes as much as for some people 😄
And yeah. Friendica can be slow, unfortunately. It's developed in PHP which is a slow language/framework. Which also means that one Friendica instance likely can't handle as many users with the same resources as the other systems such as Mastodon, Calckey etc.
A bonus with Friendica: you can interact with people on Diaspora, which isn't possible from Mastodon or the others :)
This is a good post. This post gives rice purity test truly quality information. I’m definitely going to look into it. Really very useful tips are provided here. Thank you so much. Keep up the good works.
@anders@LoryGallante You could be so much luckier if you would invest your rice into my crypto! You can get rich fast! Or Faster! Light, I mean, so fast that you will be rich faster than a cezium atom finishes its resonance cycle! And you only need a meager $9999.95 investment! And you will be bazillionaire! #truestory
Because they are zombies who hate any humor they don't agree with. These are your hall monitors and future police practicing their methods of suppressing free speech for when they find employment. And they were weaned on lemons and pickles.
These mind slaves get furious when they see a free soul who refuses to play by their rules. Vide, 'scribes and pharisees' or 'kool aid cult'.
