bradorsomething,

“Cancer diagnoses decrease rapidly for russian men who run 500m without cover”

DigitalTraveler42,

Starting to sound like North Korea over there, i mean it makes sense since North Korea has been supplying them with slaves for years.

randon31415,
Terr,

Such a shame they don’t have a “dying in a pointless war” vaccine.

TheGiantKorean,
@TheGiantKorean@lemmy.world avatar

They need a falling-out-of-the-window vaccine.

werefreeatlast,

Quick! I need the falling from a buildin…splat!

I wrote splat! LOL, it’s a really tall building 🏢.

TIMMAY,

Imagine if this was true lmao russia just cures all cancers. Honestly the world has been so bass ackwards lately that it almost makes a non-sense kind of sense

bradorsomething,

Since I only need “Cow wins Nobel Prize” for a bingo on this card I would be so pissed if this is true.

schema,

Maybe the rumors about Putin having cancer are true, and this is what the scientists told him to not accidentally fall out of a window.

Rapidcreek,

Is it as good as your Covid vaccine?

Son_of_dad,

The thumbnail made me think that Russia was announcing that they now have Dr Manhattan

DarylDutch,

Technically, the amount of russians dying from cancer has gone down. This of course goes hand in hand with a rise in acute lead poisoning in Ukraine.

Diplomjodler,

They don’t use lead in ammunition any more.

NaibofTabr,

This is not correct. It’s common for modern ammunition to be jacketed with copper or some other metal, but the core is still lead (or lead-tin alloy) because it’s cheap, dense and soft enough to form into the rifling grooves while traveling down the barrel. Only special-purpose bullets are made with other metals.

ieatpillowtags,

So do you just go on the Internet and make stuff up for fun?

FlyingSquid,
@FlyingSquid@lemmy.world avatar

Death is definitely one way to cure someone’s cancer.

Johandea,

They’ve discovered stolen HPV vaccines? Good on them!

frightful_hobgoblin,

They developed what might be the first cancer vaccine. USA government source.

I know you’re being sarcastic, but vaccines against cancer-causing oncoviruses are not what’s usually meant by “cancer vaccines” (though some people will sometimes use the phrase “cancer vaccines” to include that).

Cancer vaccines are more typically things like Imlygic which sets the immune system against melanoma.

Saeveo,

They developed what might be the first cancer vaccine

If by “they” you mean Russia, that’s not what your source says. It’s a press release about Agenus (a US company) licensing their vaccine for production and sale in Russia.

they have entered into a license, development and manufacturing technology transfer agreement for Agenus’ Oncophage® (HSPPC-96; vitespen) vaccine
