@awoodsnet I write comments primarily with Future Me in mind, which is why they’re quite detailed.
When I can’t find what I need in the official docs, that’s when I take it to a wider search. If I get something from SO or GitHub comments and end up using it, I always refer to it with the relevant short URL. This way, Future Me has enough of a reference to pick up the thread again if necessary.
My advice for anyone is: always write comments for Future You.
