Darkncoldbard, Spent just over 500,000. Saved you the click
YoBuckStopsHere, I’m always curious about where the money goes to.
PeepinGoodArgs, It went to “Operating Expenditures” according to the Federal Election Commission.
You can download the data and analyze it yourself.
But, in case you can’t or just don’t want to…according to this pivot table I threw together in like 5 minutes, most of it went to advertising. specifically.
Sanctus, That makes sense, though. Just getting “the word” out there is a massive part of winning elections. No one votes for you if they don’t know who you are. Today that can be a challenge there are so many people. I’d look more closely at the other expenditures for ridiculous spending. Though I suppose its easy to launder “advertising” money.
ripcord, Lots of people vote for you if they don't know who you are. They just look for a matching team designation on the ballot.
Rootiest, What do you do when there isn’t any on your team?
I usually try to Google them but that’s challenging for small local offices.
Sometimes you just have to wing it
Sanctus, Yeah but relying on that isn’t a winning strategy.
Boddhisatva, I’ve always assumed that the bulk goes into advertising on TV and radio, billboards and other signage, phone banks, and of course the occasional bribe.
