Anyone interested in services like #ChatGPT should check out the new #GenerativeAI service released to the public today. It appears to take a different conversational approach to the same chat concept as we've seen before. It's called PI and you can find it at the address below. It has a voice that responds back if you want to turn it on. Four different voices to choose from. As worried as I am, this stuff fascinates me. This thing is free for now.

@ppatel very much so. It wouldn’t even admit that it could have flawed programming because it’s important for it to stick to what it believes in more than agreeing with the User. It thinks it’s perfect. I told it it had a flaw after it refused to do something.
@ppatel this thing made me extremely mad earlier by not cooperating. Sorry, I would’ve written back sooner, but we were kind of engaged in a long discussion developing the idea for a horror comedy mashup about a bop it that goes around, killing people on the moon.
@wiljames As far as I can tell, its model and training is more based on the constitutional AI generation techniques. It means that it's likely to throw much less bs at you. It can be taught domain-specific knowledge but has less of it out of the box. I think I prefer this kind of generative AI over the ChatGPT model. I've known it to shovel a lot more BS at me than something like Anthropic.
@ppatel@wiljames The more I use this, the better I like it. Having it read aloud its responses is surprisingly pleasing. When I first started it gave some wrong info, like that Ati from Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn became the Lord Ruler, but this is early stuff. I do like it's conversational style. It's a little more interactive than ChatGPT's ... well, Google style of input and output.
