I just copied the .xml text for the svg logo from the header of the Thunderbird website about two weeks ago lol... it worked quite well and now there's an updated thunderbird logo in the latest release of Papirus icon theme for Linux!

@thunderbird this is great!! All big open source projects for desktop/mobile needs this.

It's so hard to keep consistency across between the main developers and the occasional contributors.

@thunderbird @alnotz I used Figma, which enabled me to create the main shape as a component, having a flat and shaded variant (using the shape as a mask). Whenever I tweaked the component shape, it updated all other instances.

That was maybe too much detail 😄

@d_k_bo @islamicaudiobooks @thunderbird I have 115.1.0 installed via #LinuxMint Software Manager. I get the new logo in the message are on startup, but the icon in the Mint application menu is just the old envelope. Shoud the menu icon be the new one, and if so where do I find it?
