Whether it happens or not, him simply saying it will is a good reason to start preparing for an influx, and start trying to get people to make accounts now so they can be set up on here when this hits, rather than having them all show up at once when it does.
I've been posting on Twitter threads of people complaining about it, advising them to make accounts here.

I’d like to think so but I’ve watched #Twitter folks get kicked in the face over and over yet refuse to abandon the platform. It’s a bizarre combination of #SunkCostFallacy and #StockholmSyndrome
